Swati (1984 Film)
''Swati'' is a 1984 Telugu language, Telugu-language drama (film and television), drama film, written, produced and directed by Kranthi Kumar. The film starred Suhasini, Bhanu Chander and Sharada (actress), Sharada in lead roles. Upon release the film received positive reviews and became instant hit at the box office. The film won four Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, and was premiered at International Film Festival of India. The film was remade in Hindi with Swati (1986 film), same name and in Kannada as ''Usha''. Plot Swati (Suhasini) lives with her mother Saraswathi, who brought her up as a single mother and hasn't revealed anything about her husband. And so, Swathi thinks that her father is a cheater. Kranthi Kumar
Talasila Kranthi Kumar was an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He won two Filmfare Awards and four Nandi Awards. In 1985, he directed '' Sravanthi'', which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu that year. In 1991, he directed '' Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu'', which was premiered in the Indian panorama section, at the 1991 International Film Festival of India. In 2000 he directed ''9 Nelalu'', premiered retrospective at the Toronto International Film Festival. He has garnered the National Film Award, five state Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. Mucherla Aruna is an Indian actress who worked in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films, mainly during the 1980s. Early life and career Mucherla Aruna was born in Kothagudem of Telangana into a family that belongs to Arjunudupalem, near Tanuku West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Behara Ganesh Patro (22 June 1945 – 5 January 2015) was an Indian playwright and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema. He started his career in 1965, and wrote dialogues, songs, and stories for Telugu films from the 1970s up to the 1990s, including, ''Rudraveena'', ''Maro Charitra'', ''Idi Katha Kaadu'', ''Mayuri'', and '' Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu''. He worked in over 100 films and know for his association with K. Balachander and Kodi Ramakrishna. Life and career Ganesh Patro was born on 22 June 1945 in Parvathipuram of Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh. He wrote dialogue for sereral films including ''Maro Charitra'', ''Rudraveena'', '' Maa Pallelo Gopaludu'', ''Nirnayam'', and '' Mayuri (film)'' among others.
