Punisher (1968 Film)
''Punisher'' (russian: Каратель) is a 1968 Soviet drama film directed by Manos Zacharias. Plot The film is set in Greece during the period of the Greek junta. The soldier Vangelis is ordered to take part in the execution of a young communist, after a fellow soldier, Dimitris, refuses. Feeling guilty over his role in the execution, Vangelis tries to confide in his girlfriend Maria, but finds himself unable to do so. Instead he gets into a fight with a drunken passer-by, and flees from a military patrol, taking shelter in a local church, where he confesses to the priest. The priest tells Vangelis that he killed many Gestapo men during the Second World War in order to avenge the death of his parents, but was not able to find peace of mind. He is of the opinion that killing people is a terrible thing. Svetlana Fyodorovna Orlova (russian: Светлана Фёдоровна Орлова; born 8 April 1956) is a Soviet and Russian film actress. She has appeared in over forty roles and was dubbed the "first beauty of Soviet cinema fairy tales" for her roles in films such as ''Granddaughter of Ice'', ''The Princess on a Pea'', and ''Finist, the brave Falcon''. Born in Kaliningrad, Orlova's family moved to Alma-Ata in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic when she was five years old. Svetlana Yuryevna Orlova (russian: Светлана Юрьевна Орлова; born 23 October 1954), is a Russian politician, who is currently the auditor of the Accounts Chamber of Russia since 23 November 2018. She served as the Governor of Vladimir Oblast from 2013 to 2018. She is known for losing in the second round of the governor's elections in 2018, losing 37.46% and 57.03%, respectively, to the candidate of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Vladimir Sipyagin. In the past, she was the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council from 2004 to 2013, and a member of the State Duma of the 1st and 2nd convocations from 1993 to 2000. From 2012 to 2018, she was a member of the Bureau of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party.
