Sutta Nipata
The ' () is a Buddhist scripture, a sutta collection in the Khuddaka Nikaya, part of the Pali Canon of Theravada Buddhism. Sections The ''Sutta Nipāta'' is divided into five sections: Uraga Vagga ("The Chapter on the Serpent") Cūla Vagga ("The Minor Chapter") Mahā Vagga ("The Great Chapter") Atthaka Vagga "The Chapter of Octads" Parayana Vagga ("The Chapter on the Way Beyond") Context Some scholars believe that it describes the oldest of all Buddhist practices. Sutta Piṭaka
The Sutta Pitaka (; or Suttanta Pitaka; Basket of Discourse; cf Sanskrit ) is the second of the three divisions of the Tripitaka or Pali Canon, the Pali collection of Buddhist writings of Theravada Buddhism. The other two parts of the Tripiṭaka are the Vinaya Piṭaka and the Abhidharma Piṭaka (Sanskrit; Pali: Abhidhamma Piṭaka). The Sutta Pitaka is also known as 'Buddhavachana' or words of Buddha and contains more than 10,000 suttas (teachings) attributed to the Buddha or his close companions. Origins What was later to become the written scripture of the ''Sutta Pitaka'' was first orally rehearsed by Buddha’s cousin Ananda at the first Buddhist council that was held shortly after the Buddha's death. The first council also defined the set of rules (Vinaya) that governed the life of monks and nuns within the monastic community. Tradition holds that little was added to the Canon after this. ''Sutta Pazham'' () is a 2008 Indian Tamil language comedy thriller film directed by G. K.. The film stars Mohan and Shubha Poonja, with R. N. R. Manohar, Livingston, Manobala, Venniradai Moorthy, M. S. Bhaskar, Anu Mohan, Kullamani, and Soundar playing supporting roles. The film had musical score by Sri Sam, cinematography by C. Maya, and editing by R. K. Udhayakumar. ''Sutta Kadhai'' () is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language black comedy film written and directed by Subu in his directorial debut. The film features an ensemble cast including Balaji Venugopal, Venkatesh Harinathan, Dongli Jumbo, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Nassar, M. S. Bhaskar, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, and Jayaprakash. The plot revolves around two police constables who try to solve a murder case in a village. Ravinder Chandrashekar of Libra Productions produced the film, while cinematography was handled by Nizar.
