Sutphen is an emergency services vehicle manufacturer and marketer based in Amlin, Ohio. Sutphen was founded in 1890 by C.H. Sutphen. The company has four manufacturing plants in Dublin, Amlin, Hilliard, Springfield Ohio and Lake Ariel, PA. Products Sutphen produces all types of fire related vehicles on their own chassis including the usual engines, ladders, and rescues but also provides bodies for commercial chassis applications. The company produces mid-mount aerials as either a tower ladder platform (with a bucket/basket) or in a ladder tower form (no bucket) plus industrial application aerials today. On April 21, 2016 at FDIC International the company debuted its first ever rear-mount aerial with the Sutphen SLR 75. The following year Sutphen previewed a 108-foot model. Jeffrey "Jeff" Sutphen (born October 15, 1977) is an American actor, producer, dancer and game show host known primarily for his work with Nickelodeon's '' BrainSurge'' from 2009 to 2011. From 2012 to 2013, he was the host of the show ''Figure It Out''. He also has his own YouTube channel. Personal life Sutphen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He married his wife Stacy Sutphen on October 12, 2003. Joyce Sutphen
Joyce Sutphen (born August 10, 1949) is an American poet who served as Minnesota's Poet Laureate from 2011 to 2021. She was the state's second laureate, appointed by Governor Mark Dayton in August, 2011 to succeed Robert Bly. Sutphen is professor emerita of English at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. Life Sutphen was raised in Saint Joseph, Minnesota, and currently resides in the city of Chaska. She holds degrees from the University of Minnesota, including her Ph.D. in Renaissance Drama. Her first book of poetry, ''Straight Out of View'' (Beacon Press, 1995), won the Barnard New Women's Poets Prize. Her second, ''Coming Back to the Body'' (Holy Cow! Van Tassel Sutphen
William Gilbert van Tassel Sutphen (1861–1945) was an American playwright, librettist, novelist, and editor, an authority and author of publications on golf, and, eventually, an Episcopalian minister. Sutphen was born in Philadelphia on 11 May 1861. His parents were the Rev. Morris Crater Sutphen and Eleanor (Brush) Sutphen. He went to Princeton University and graduated in 1882. Sutphen wrote several novels, the most famous of which was ''The Doomsman'', a science fiction novel in the post-apocalyptic subgenre. The scholar Mike Davis has suggested that Sutphen "purloined" ideas and scenes for this book from an earlier post-apocalyptic novel, ''After London'', by the English writer Richard Jeffries.
