Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. The United Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. Shri Sudarshan Akarapu (Telugu:ఆకారపు.సుదర్శన్)(5 March 1954 – 20 July 2011) was an Indian politician from Telugu Desam Party. He was former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, former Member of Legislative Assembly and TDP vice president. He died with a massive heart attack on 20 July 2011 in a private hospital in Hyderabad.
