Survival
Survival, or the act of surviving, is the propensity of something to continue existing, particularly when this is done despite conditions that might kill or destroy it. The concept can be applied to humans and other living things (or, hypothetically, any sentient being), to physical object, and to abstract things such as beliefs or ideas. Living things generally have a self-preservation instinct to survive, while objects intended for use in harsh conditions are designed for survivability. Meaning The word, "survival", derives from the Late Latin '' supervivere'', literally meaning "to outlive". Most commonly, "the term 'survival' means physical survival — that is, a struggle to avoid physical extermination". For example, Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection incorporates the concept of the survival of the fittest in the struggle for existence. Darwin defines the biological concept of fitness as reproductive success, so in Darwinian terms the phrase is best understood a ...

Yes (Yes Album)
''Yes'' is the debut studio album by English rock band Yes, released on 25 July 1969 by Atlantic Records. After forming in the summer of 1968, the band toured extensively across the United Kingdom with sets comprising both original material and rearranged cover versions. They signed with Atlantic in March 1969, and entered Advision and Trident Studios in London to record their first album. ''Yes'' includes covers of " Every Little Thing" by the Beatles and "I See You" by the Byrds. Octave (album)
''Octave'' is the ninth album by The Moody Blues, released in 1978, and their first release after a substantial hiatus following the success of the best-selling ''Seventh Sojourn'' in 1972. The album proved to be the last for the group with keyboardist Mike Pinder, who left during the album's sessions and declined an offer to tour with the group. He had just started a new family in California, and found that he was not getting along with his bandmates as he previously had. Pinder would be replaced by former Yes (band), Yes keyboardist Patrick Moraz in time for their 1978-1979 tour, beginning a new era in the band's history. ''Octave'' would also be the final studio album from the band produced by Tony Clarke (record producer), Tony Clarke. The album's title is a musical pun: it references both the notion of an octave; and as a word derived from the Latin ''octavus'' it refers to this being the eighth album with the then-current band configuration (following on from the previous ...

The song was written by Survivor guitarist Frankie Sullivan and keyboardist Jim Peterik, and it was recorded at the request of ''Rocky III'' star, writer, and director Sylvester Stallone, after Queen denied him permission to use " Another One Bites the Dust", the song Stallone intended as the ''Rocky III'' theme. The version of the song that appears in the film is the demo version of the song. The film version also contained tiger growls, which did not appear on the album version. It features original Survivor singer Dave Bickler on lead vocals. The song is also the title song to the 1986 film of the same name. "Eye of the Tiger" is written in the key of C minor. Bedtime Stories (Madonna Album)
''Bedtime Stories'' is the sixth studio album by American singer Madonna. It was released on October 25, 1994, by Maverick and Sire Records. In order to move into a more mainstream sound, Madonna collaborated with Dallas Austin, Babyface, Dave Hall and Nellee Hooper, wanting to soften her image following the critical and commercial backlash she faced after releasing sexually explicit projects in the previous two years, notably the ''Erotica'' album, the '' Sex'' book and her leading role in the erotic thriller '' Body of Evidence''. This image transformation was preceded by the ballad "I'll Remember" from the soundtrack to the 1994 film '' With Honors''. A Pop, R&B and hip hop album, ''Bedtime Stories'' explores lyrical themes of love, sorrow and romance, but with a toned-down, less sexual approach. Critics described the album as "autobiographical", as the song "Human Nature" addresses the controversy surrounding her previous projects. Madonna also worked with Icelandic sing ...
