Govind Singh Rajput is an Indian politician from The Bharatiya Janata Party who is the cabinet minister in Government of Madhya Pradesh. Rajput was a Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Surkhi in Sagar district from December 2018 to March 2020. Vitthalbhai Patel (21 May 1936 – 7 September 2013) was an Indian poet, lyricist, and senior Congress leader known for his contributions in social services and politics as well as for penning several Hindi film songs, including "Na Maangu Sona Chaandi" and "Jhooth Bole Kauva Kaate" from the 1973 movie ''Bobby''. He was from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India where he lived most of his life. He wrote in Hindi and Bundeli. He died on 7 September 2013 after a prolonged illness. He was 75. Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in February 1967. These were the elections to the legislative assembly having 296 seats in undivided Madhya Pradesh. Govind Narayan Singh was elected to the assembly as an Indian National Congress candidate but soon rebelled against the incumbent Chief Minister, Dwarka Prasad Mishra and resigned from the Congress party. He formed a new political party, known as the ''Lok Sewak Dal'' and became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh as the leader of a coalition, known as the Samyukta Vidhayak Dal.
