Surf Bungaku Kamakura
is the fifth studio album released by the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, released on November 5, 2008. The album peaked at the second position on both the Oricon charts and ''Billboard Japan'' as well as at number eighteen on the World Chart. Its lead single, "Fujisawa Loser" managed to peak at number five on the Japan Hot 100 and at the number six spot on Oricon. The album's tracks are named after notable stops along the famous Enoshima Electric Railway in order starting from Fujisawa and ending with Kamakura. Additionally, it includes the three b-sides "Enoshima Escar," "Yuigahama Kite," and "Kugenama Surf" released over the past two years within " Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu," " After Dark," and " Aru Machi no Gunjō" respectively. Enoshima Electric Railway
The is a private railway in Japan which connects Kamakura Station in Kamakura with Fujisawa Station in Fujisawa, Kanagawa. Kiyoshi Ijichi
(born September 25, 1977) is the drummer of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Ijichi credits the origin of his drumming ability to playing in marching bands in junior high. He met fellow band members Masafumi Gotō, Kensuke Kita, and Takahiro Yamada while attending Kanto Gakuin University in 1996. Unlike the others, Ijichi had prior band experience and was a member of another college band when approached by the three. After parting ways with his old band, Ijichi joined Gotō, Kita, and Yamada to form Asian Kung-Fu Generation and the four have been together ever since. Aside from drumming, Ijichi is a skilled pianist and can be heard playing an excerpt of "Claire de Lune" from Debussy's '' Suite bergamasque'' for the intro of "Moonlight." Takahiro Yamada (musician)
is the bass player and backing vocalist of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Yamada met fellow band members Masafumi Gotoh and Kensuke Kita while attending a music club of Kanto Gakuin University. The three formed Asian Kung-Fu Generation in 1996, with drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. (December 2, 1976) is the lead vocalist, main songwriter and rhythm guitarist of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Masafumi met fellow band members Kensuke Kita and Takahiro Yamada while attending a music club of Kanto Gakuin University. The three formed Asian Kung-Fu Generation in 1996, with drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. is a commuter railway station on the Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden) located in the city of Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Lines Yanagikōji Station is served by the Enoshima Electric Railway Main Line and is 1.2 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Fujisawa Station. is a song by Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. It was released as the lead single of their fifth studio album, '' World World World'', on November 29, 2006. The song was conceived on tour when the director of the then-upcoming anime film, ''Tekkonkinkreet'', approached the band and requested a theme song for his film. AKFG proceeded to compose the track and released it as a single a month prior to the film's December 23 debut.
