Superior Auditor Of The Federation
The Superior Auditor of the Federation ( es, Auditoría Superior de la Federación, ASF) is the supreme audit institution of Mexico. A technical agency of the Chamber of Deputies, it is empowered to conduct external audits of federal, state and local governments and agencies. The ASF is a member of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions. The director of the ASF is David Colmenares Páramo. Mexico City Metro Overpass Collapse
On 3 May 2021, at 22:22 CDT ( UTC−5), an overpass in the borough of Tláhuac carrying Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro collapsed beneath a passing train. The overpass and the last two cars of the train fell onto Tláhuac Avenue near Olivos station, killing 26 people and injuring 98 others. It was the Metro's deadliest accident in almost fifty years. The line experienced technical and structural problems that led to a partial closure of the elevated section where the accident occurred between 2014 and 2015. An earthquake in 2017 further damaged the span; although it was repaired within a few months, residents reported problems still existed years later. Andrés Manuel López Obrador
Andrés Manuel López Obrador (; born 13 November 1953), also known by his initials AMLO, is a Mexican politician who has been serving as the 65th president of Mexico since 1 December 2018. He previously served as Head of Government of Mexico City from 2000 to 2005. Mexico City Texcoco Airport was a planned airport in Mexico City that was meant to become Mexico's New International Airport (Spanish: ''Nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional de México''—NAICM or NAIM). The National Guard ( es, link=no, Guardia Nacional) is the Mexican national gendarmerie force, created in 2019 with national police functions. The National Guard was formed by absorbing units and officers from the Federal Police, Military Police, and Naval Police. A reform package approved in the Mexican Congress has made the transfer of the National Guard to the direct command of the Mexican Army official. Tezonco Metro Station
Tezonco metro station is a station of the Mexico City Metro in the town of San Lorenzo Tezonco and in the ''colonia'' of Granjas San Jerónimo, in Tláhuac, Mexico City. It is an elevated station with two side platforms, served by Line 12 (the Golden Line), between Periférico Oriente and Olivos stations. The station's pictogram features a calavera as it references the area's Day of the Dead traditions during the festivity. The station was opened on 2012, on the first day of service from Tláhuac to Mixcoac metro stations. The facilities are accessible for people with disabilities as there are elevators, tactile pavings and braille signage plates and there is a bicycle parking station. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 23,131 passengers, making it the fourth-busiest station on the line.
