Superclasico
The SuperClasico, formerly known as the Honda SuperClasico for sponsorship reasons, and also known as the L.A. Derby or ''El Clásico Angelino'', was a sports rivalry between LA Galaxy and Chivas USA. The rivalry ended in 2014 when Chivas ceased operations. The word "SuperClasico" is an allusion to the Mexican Súper Clásico between Club América and the former Chivas USA's parent club Chivas Guadalajara. A sports rivalry is intense competition between athletic teams or athletes, affecting participants, management, and supporters all to varying degrees. The intensity of the rivalry can range anywhere from a light hearted banter to serious violence. A rivalry that gets out of control can lead to fighting, hooliganism, rioting and some instances with career-ending and even fatal consequences. Dignity Health Sports Park
Dignity Health Sports Park is a multi-use sports complex located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. The complex consists of the 27,000-seat Dignity Health Sports Park soccer stadium, the Dignity Health Sports Park tennis stadium, a track-and-field facility, and the VELO Sports Center velodrome. It is approximately south of downtown Los Angeles, and its primary tenant is the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS). The main stadium is also home to the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL. The LA Galaxy II of the USL Championship play their home matches at the complex's track and field facility. Ramón Ramírez (footballer)
Jesús Ramón Ramírez Ceceña (born 5 December 1969) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is one of the all-time most capped players for the Mexico national football team. Ramírez was meant to be one of the best Mexican players since Hugo Sánchez, but various injuries threatened and stopped his career several times. Bradley Edwin Guzan (; born September 9, 1984) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club Atlanta United FC. Arturo Torres (born December 11, 1980) is an American soccer player, the first player in the history of Chivas USA of Major League Soccer. Torres played college soccer at Loyola Marymount University from 1999 to 2002. Joseph Ngwenya (born March 30, 1981 in Plumtree) is a Zimbabwean footballer. Career College Ngwenya attended the Mzilikazi High School in Bulawayo, leading them to the 1999 Zimbabwe National High School Championship, before moving to the United States in 2000 to attend and play college soccer at Coastal Carolina University. Thiago Martins (born 4 September 1976) is a retired Brazilian footballer who played professionally in the United States and Norway. Early life and education Martins was born on the east side of São Paulo, Brazil, and came to the United States in 1996. He landed in Los Angeles, at 19 years old and with little money.
