''Sunny Days'' is the second studio album released by American girl band Allure. It was released by MCA Records on September 25, 2001 in the United States. Conceived after the folding of their debut label, singer Mariah Carey's record company Crave Records, it marked the quartet's debut with MCA as well as their first full-length release in four years. ''Sunny Days'' peaked at number 68 on the US ''Billboard'' Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. Critical reception Allmusic editor Liana Jonas found that "within minutes of listening to the disc, audiences will think, 'this is like all the other girl-group R&B fare on the radio today'. Allure is an American New York-based R&B girl group that formed in the 1990s as a quartet. Now a trio, they are best known for their hit single " All Cried Out" with 112, which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Original members were Alia Gray (née Davis), Hem-Lee (aka Linnie Belcher), Lalisha Sanders, and Akissa Mendez. Career Allure is an R&B girl group from Long Island, New York that originally consisted of Alia Davis, Akissa Mendez, Lalisha McClean and Linnie Belcher. Alia, Akissa, and Lalisha were attending the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in New York City when they decided to become a girl group. Contemporary R&B
Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. MCA Records
MCA Records was an American record label owned by MCA Inc., which later became part of Universal Music Group. Pre-history MCA Inc., a powerful talent agency and a television production company, entered the recorded music business in 1962 with the purchase of the New York-based US Decca Records (established in 1934), including Coral Records and Brunswick Records. MCA was forced to exit the talent agency business in order to complete the merger. As American Decca owned Universal Pictures, MCA assumed full ownership of Universal and made it into a top film studio, producing several hits. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands.
