Sundowning (Sleep Token Album)
''Sundowning'' is the debut studio album by anonymous English rock band Sleep Token. Recorded at G1 Productions in Wells, Somerset, it was produced by George Lever and released on 21 November 2019 as the band's first release on Spinefarm Records. Background After releasing three standalone singles ("Jaws", a cover of Outkast's " Hey Ya", and "The Way That You Were") in 2018, Sleep Token signed with Universal Music Group label Spinefarm Records in 2019. Alongside the announcement of the deal in June, the band also announced ''Sundowning'' and released the opening song from the album, "The Night Does Not Belong to God". Every two weeks after this, the next song on the album's track listing was released on YouTube at the time of sunset in the United Kingdom. Sleep Token are a British Rock music, rock band from London. Formed in 2016, the group are an anonymous, masked collective led by a frontman using the moniker Vessel. They have been categorised under many different genres, including alternative metal, post-rock/Post-metal, metal, progressive metal and indie rock/Indie pop, pop. George Merrill (songwriter)
George Merrill (born 10 January 1956) is an American songwriter whose work mostly dates from the mid- to late 1980s. He co-wrote "How Will I Know", which was a hit for Whitney Houston in 1986, as well as Houston's 1987 hit " I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)". From the mid- to late 1980s to the present day, Merrill has been one half of vocal duo Boy Meets Girl, who are best remembered for the late-1988 hit " Waiting for a Star to Fall". He wrote the song and had initially offered it to Houston and Belinda Carlisle, but they both rejected it (though Carlisle did do a demo recording) and Merrill decided to sing it himself and feature it on the next Boy Meets Girl album. Finneas Baird O'Connell (born July 30, 1997), known mononymously as Finneas (stylized in all caps), is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor. Venom Prison are a Welsh death metal band. Stephen Hill of ''Metal Hammer'' described their second album as "2019’s most anticipated extreme metal albums".
