The Sunday River (''in French: rivière Sunday'') is a tributary of the Osgood River, whose course flows successively into the Palmer River and Bécancour River; the latter being in turn a tributary of the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. The Sunday River flows through the municipalities of Kinnear's Mills and Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds, in the Les Appalaches Regional County Municipality (MRC), in the region administrative office of Chaudière-Appalaches, in Quebec, in Canada. Geography The river, once a strong sinuosity, has a length of about after linearization. Its basin has an area of approximately . Its bed of gravel has a depth varying from and a width of . The edges suffer from frequent erosion. The river is then diverted from its course, and the new meanders must be linearized again every three years. Sunday River is a ski resort located in Newry, Maine, in the United States. It is one of Maine's largest and most visited ski resorts. Its vertical drop of is the second largest in Maine (after Sugarloaf) and the sixth largest in New England. Sunday River has the most terrain among the East Coast skiing destinations, including eight different peaks. The resort features 135 trails across eight interconnected mountain peaks, and is serviced by a network of 18 lifts. Sunday River and its sister resort Sugarloaf have been operated by Boyne Resorts since being sold by American Skiing Company in 2007 for a combined $77 million. The resort's land has been owned by CNL Lifestyle, then Och-Ziff Capital Management, and leased back to Boyne. The !Khukaǁgamma or Sundaysriver ( af, Sondagsrivier) is a river in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is said to be the fastest flowing river in the country. The Inqua Khoi people, who historically were the wealthiest group in Southern Africa, originally named this river ''!Khukaǁgamma'' (the waters with the spirit of abundance) because the river's banks are always green and grassy despite the arid terrain that it runs through. Presently this river is part of the Fish to Tsitsikamma Water Management Area.
