Sunaparanta, Goa Centre for the Arts is a cultural centre in Altinho, Panjim, Goa. Its official website describes it as a "non-profit, process-based initiative to encourage creation, learning, understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts through education and dialogue in Goa". Facilities The centre has exhibition galleries, space for workshops and lectures, studios, two residency rooms for visiting scholars, artists and faculty, an open-air amphitheatre, an outdoor courtyard that houses the Café Al Fresco and a gallery for emerging artists. Tiswadi ( pt, Ilhas de Goa, lit=Islands of Goa, or simply ''Ilhas'') is a sub-district in the district of North Goa, situated in the Indian coastal state of Goa. Prafulla Dahanukar
Prafulla Dahanukar (1934 – 2014) was an Indian painter, a leader in modern Indian art who also helped and influenced many young artists in India. Biography Prafulla Dahanukar was born Prafulla Joshi in Bandora, Goa to Subrai Anant Joshi and Kesarbai Bandodkar, and she grew up in Mumbai. She studied Fine Art at the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai and graduated with a Gold Medal in 1955. She had a studio in the seminal Bulabhai Desai Institute in Mumbai and shared it with V. S. Gaitonde, becoming part of the Progressive Artists' Group from 1956 to 1960. The Institute was filled with luminaries who transformed the art and culture scene in India. Rajeev Sethi (born 24 May 1949) is a noted Indian designer, scenographer and art curator. He is known for his outstanding designs across the world. In 1986, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award, given Government of India. Early life and background Sethi was born in Delhi to freedom fighter parents. His mother, Krishna Sethi was a member of Delhi's first Legislative Assembly and his father Kishorilal Sethi was a businessman and a poet. He also had four elder sisters.
