Sunao Hari
, real name , is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator, martial artist born 15 March 1933 in Saga, Saga, Saga, Saga Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from Saga Prefectural Saga High School (now Saga Prefectural Saga West High School). Hari is the fifth son of the chief priest at Kōdenji, a family temple in the former Saga Domain. He worked at a cotton spinning company and as a bank employee before moving to Tokyo in 1953 to work as a writer for a financial journal. Hari made his professional manga debut in 1956. He holds a level of 8th Dan (rank), dan in aikido, and he studied an offshoot of Shintō Musō-ryū staff fighting called . He currently operates in Saga City a dojo devoted to the study of aikido and jōjutsu (staff fighting). Sunao Katabuchi
is a Japanese animation director, screenwriter, and storyboard artist. He is director of Contrail Co. Ltd. He has been a part-time lecturer at Nihon University College of Art since 2006, and a Project Professor at the college of Art of at the same university since 2018. He has also served as a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts since 2013. He is married to a fellow director of anime Chie Uratani. Sunao Tawara
was a Japanese pathologist known for the discovery of the atrioventricular node. Tawara was born in Ōita Prefecture and studied at the Medical School, Imperial University of Tokyo in Tokyo, graduating in 1901 and receiving his Medical Doctor, Doctorate of Medical Science in 1908. Between 1903 and 1906 he spent in Philipps University of Marburg in Marburg, studying pathology and pathological anatomy with Ludwig Aschoff. Sunao Matsumoto (October 24, 1969 – July 15, 2004), known professionally as Sunao Yoshida (吉田直 ''Yoshida Sunao''), was a Japanese novelist. He was born in Fukuoka Prefecture and graduated from La Salle Junior and Senior High School in Kagoshima. He attended Waseda University and earned a Master's degree from Kyoto University. Yoshida died of a lung blockage in 2004. Yoshida was known primarily for "Light novels," a category in Japanese publishing that includes youth-oriented stories, often featuring anime-style cover illustrations. In 1997, Yoshida was awarded the ''Sneaker Taisho'' literary prize for his debut novel, ''Genocide Angel''.
