Summerfield, Louisiana
Summerfield is an unincorporated community in northeast Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is located sixteen miles east of the parish seat of Homer. History Summerfield was founded in 1868 by W. R. Kennedy. The community has a Baptist church, founded in 1881, and a Methodist church, founded in 1876. Education The Claiborne Parish School Board operates Summerfield High School, a Pre-K–12 high school, in Summerfield. Media Summerfield lies in proximity to the Monroe/El Dorado, Arkansas DMA market. Although in the Shreveport market, Monroe channels such as KTVE and KNOE can be received through an over the air antenna. Satellite subscribers receive their media from KTBS and KSLA, the ABC and CBS outlets in Shreveport. Infrastructure The United States Postal Service operates the small Summerfield Post Office.

Summer Fields School is a private, co-educational, nursery–secondary school in Kailash Colony, New Delhi, Delhi, India. It was established in 1953 by James Douglas Tytler and was a part of the K.R. Mangalam Group. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and is a member of the National Progressive Schools' Conference. History After 1947 DLF Universal began developing the residential areas of south Delhi. During the development of Kailash Colony, to attract people to come and live in this part of Delhi, DLF approached Rev. James Douglas Tytler, an educationist, to start a school in the area. Summer Fields is a fee-paying boys' independent day and boarding Preparatory school (UK), preparatory school in Summertown, Oxford. It was originally called Summerfield and used to have a subsidiary school, Summerfields, St Leonards-on-Sea (known as "Summers mi"). History Summerfield became a boys' preparatory school in 1864, with seven pupils. Its owner, Archibald MacLaren, had been educated at Dollar Academy and was a fencing teacher who ran a gymnasium in Oxford. He believed strongly in the importance of physical fitness. His wife, Gertrude, was a classical scholar and teacher, a daughter of David Alphonso Talboys. The school motto is ''Mens sana in corpore sano'', "A healthy mind in a healthy body". The Summerfield School, located off US 271 in Summerfield, Oklahoma, USA, was built in 1937 as a Works Progress Administration project. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is a single-story hipped-roof four-room building built of native sandstone. Its design is from an Oklahoma State Dept. of Education pattern book.
