Sultan Of The Disco
Sultan of the Disco () is a disco band from South Korea. History The band was formed in 2006, inspired by Soul music, soul and funk music from the golden age of disco represented as Chic (band), Chic, Kool and the Gang and Jackson 5, and was named after the Dire Straits song "Sultans of Swing". The band published a fictional biography on Cyworld in 2007 and was signed by ''Boonga Boonga Records'' (BGBG). The band released their debut Extended play, EP, ''I've Got a Hottie Little Sister'', in 2008. This was followed by another EP in 2010, ''Groove official''. Their debut studio album, ''The Golden Age'', was released in 2013. In 2014 the band was invited to perform at the Glastonbury Festival, and returned once again for 2016. Sultans Of Swing
"Sultans of Swing" is a song by British rock band Dire Straits, written by lead vocalist Mark Knopfler. The demo of the song was recorded at Pathway Studios, North London, in July 1977 and quickly acquired a following after it was put in rotation on BBC Radio London. Its popularity soon reached record executives, and Dire Straits were offered a contract with Phonogram Records. The song was then re-recorded in February 1978 at Basing Street Studios for the band's eponymous debut album. The B-side, "Eastbound Train", is a live track that otherwise only appears on the '' Live at the Hope & Anchor Front Row Festival'' album. Kim Dae-woong (), better known as Black Nut (Hangul: 블랙넛), is a South Korean rapper from Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, signed to hip hop record label Just Music. He reportedly acted as the record label's interim president starting in 2014, while founder Swings was enlisted in the military. The Great Escape (festival)
The Great Escape was a music festival held at Newington Armory, located within Sydney Olympic Park that took place in 2006 and 2007. Initially held over the Easter long weekend for the first two events, in 2008 it was announced the festival would take place on the Labour Day weekend, however the event was cancelled 2 months from the date due to poor ticket sale It evolved from the 2005 Cockatoo island festival, Cockatoo Island Music Festival. The music and other attractions run over three full days (Good Friday to Easter Sunday in 2006–07), with some patrons camping from Thursday evening to Monday morning. Punters could attend either for the full weekend camping, purchase a 3-day pass and commute each day or attend a single day. Summer Sonic Festival
The , also known as Supersonic, is an annual two- or three-day rock festival held at the same time in Osaka and Chiba, Japan. The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba the following day and vice versa.
