Sugar (2019 Film)
''Sugar'' is a 2019 Ghanaian musical romantic comedy which tells the story of an award-winning musician who allows fame to turn him into a womanizer resulting in a breakup with his long-term girlfriend. He then spirals out of control and then meets a woman who makes him change his ways until everything is challenged when his past catches up with him. The movie was written by Richie Mensah, screenplay by Ken Sackey, produced by Lynx Entertainment and directed by Ghanaian music video director Rex. It stars singer-songwriter KiDi in his acting debut alongside renowned actors Adjetey Anang, James Gardiner and Kalybos. Richie Mensah (born 17 May 1986), better known by his stage name Richie, is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter and record producer. After producing records for several artists, Richie set up Lynx Entertainment record label and released his debut album ''All of Me'' on the label in 2008. He has since then gone on to win several awards both as a singer and record producer and is fast establishing himself as one of the biggest names in the Ghanaian music industry. Dennis Nana Dwamena, better known as KiDi, (born August 18, 1993) is a Ghanaian high-life and afrobeats singer-songwriter. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and is best known for his global hit single Touch It. The remix features American rapper Tyga and has received massive streaming across the world. Adjetey Anang (born 8 July 1973) is a Ghanaian actor, popularly known as "Pusher", which was his screen name in the television series '' Things We Do for Love''. He has featured in many Ghanaian movies, including ''Deadly Voyage'', ''A Sting in a Tale'', '' The Perfect Picture'' and others. He has also featured in a Dutch movie titled ''Slavery''.
