Sue Chew
Susan Beatrice Chew (March 31, 1958 – April 17, 2024) was an American politician who was the Democratic Idaho State Representative from 2006 on, representing District 17 in the B seat. Early life and education Sue Chew was born in California on March 31, 1958, to a family of trailblazers. Her father was one of the first lawyers in California to be of Chinese descent. Chew earned her bachelor's degree in biology and natural resources from University of California, Berkeley, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of California, San Francisco. Illness and death Chew was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2023, and died from this disease in April 2024, at the age of 66. Elections 2020 Chew was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Idaho House Of Representatives
The Idaho House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the Idaho State Legislature. It consists of 70 representatives elected to two-year terms. The state is divided into 35 districts, each of which elects two representatives to separate seats. It meets at the Idaho State Capitol in Boise, Idaho, in the State Capitol Building. Composition of the House The Idaho House of Representatives has been continuously controlled by the Republican Party since the late 1950s, usually by a wide margin.
