"Successful" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake and American singer Trey Songz featuring a guest appearance from Drake's mentor/labelmate American rapper Lil Wayne. The song was written by the trio and producer Noah "40" Shebib. The song served as the second single from Drake's mixtape, '' So Far Gone'', and was included on Trey Songz's third studio album, ''Ready'', sans Wayne and the addition of a new verse by Songz. Accompanied by a dark tone, the song's lyrics contain quips of self-determination. "Successful" received critical acclaim from critics, some of which referred to the song as a standout track on ''Ready''.
