Sturm Brightblade
Sturm Brightblade is a fictional character from the ''Dragonlance'' series of role playing games and novels, based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons franchise. The character was created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman and is published by Wizards of the Coast. The knight Sturm Brightblade is one of the six Heroes of the Lance. Sturm appeared in the first novel of the Chronicles Trilogy, ''Dragons of Autumn Twilight'' (1984). As with the other main characters of the trilogy, Sturm's proper creation was during a role-playing game session where Tracy Hickman, Laura Hickman, Margaret Weis, and Terry Phillips, between others, developed the guidelines and main story for the ''Dragonlance'' setting. Saint Sturm
Saint Sturm (c. 705 – 17 December 779), also called Sturmius or Sturmi, was a disciple of Saint Boniface and founder and first abbot of the Benedictine monastery and abbey of Fulda in 742 or 744. Sturm's tenure as abbot lasted from 747 until 779. Life Sturm was born c. 705 in Lorch, Austria, and was most likely related to the Agilolfing dukes of Bavaria. He met Saint Boniface c. 735 when the latter was carrying out the church reorganization in Bavaria and Austria (founding the bishoprics of Salzburg, Regensburg and Würzburg). He joined Boniface and was educated in the Benedictine monastery of Fritzlar by abbot Saint Wigbert. He was then active as a missionary in northern Hesse, where in 736 he established a monastic settlement in ''Haerulfisfeld'' ( Hersfeld). Ordained in 740 as priest in Fritzlar, Sturm was instructed by Boniface in 744 to establish a monastery in the region of Eichloha, which had been granted to Boniface by the Frankish Mayor of the Palace Carloman. The Sturm College of Law ("Denver Law") is the professional graduate law school of the University of Denver. It is one of two law schools in the state of Colorado. ''Sturm'' is a 1923 World War I novella by the German writer Ernst Jünger. It has a frame story set in the days before the Somme Offensive on the Western Front (World War I), Western Front, where a group of German officers meet to discuss the war and listen to the literary sketches read by one of their members, Lieutenant Sturm. Publication ''Sturm'' was serialised in ''Hannoverscher Kurier'' from 11 to 27 April 1923. The novella was forgotten even by Jünger until it was rediscovered in 1960.
