Hugh Dowding
Air Chief Marshal Hugh Caswall Tremenheere Dowding, 1st Baron Dowding, (24 April 1882 – 15 February 1970) was an officer in the Royal Air Force. He was Air Officer Commanding RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain and is generally credited with playing a crucial role in Britain's defence, and hence, the defeat of Adolf Hitler's plan to invade Britain. Born in Moffat, Scotland, Dowding was an officer in the British Army in the 1900s and early 1910s. He joined the Royal Flying Corps at the start of the First World War and went on to serve as a fighter pilot and then as commanding officer of No. 16 Squadron. During the inter-war years he became Air Officer Commanding Fighting Area, Air Defence of Great Britain and then joined the Air Council as Air Member for Supply and Research. Stuffy McInnis
John Phalen "Stuffy" McInnis (September 19, 1890 – February 16, 1960) was a first baseman and manager in Major League Baseball. McInnis gained his nickname as a youngster in the Boston suburban leagues, where his spectacular playing brought shouts of "that's the stuff, kid". From 1909 to 1927, McInnis played for the Philadelphia Athletics (1909–1917), Boston Red Sox (1918–1921), Cleveland Indians (1922), Boston Braves (1923–1924), Pittsburgh Pirates (1925–1926) and Philadelphia Phillies (1927). He batted and threw right-handed. Career In a 19-season career, McInnis posted a .307 batting average with 20 home runs and 1,063 RBI in 2,128 games. American handball, known as handball in the United States and sometimes referred to as wallball, is a sport in which players use their hands to hit a small, rubber ball against a wall such that their opponent(s) cannot do the same without the ball touching the ground twice or hitting out-of-bound. John Franklin Stewart (January 31, 1894 in Jasper, Florida – December 30, 1980 in Lake City, Florida) was a professional baseball player who played second base from 1916 to 1929. Stephen Gilchrist is an English people, English musician from London, England, who also teaches drums and guitar across London. He is best known as the drummer in Blur (band), Blur guitarist Graham Coxon's live band, and also appears on Coxon's live albums, ''Burnt to Bitz: At the Astoria'' and ''Live at the Zodiac'', and on the single "Bloody Annoying / What Ya Gonna Do Now?". Gilchrist supplied the drums for the Graham Coxon and Jimmy Pursey's single supporting the England national football team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. ''Doc McStuffins'' is an American educational computer-animated children's television series created and executive produced by Chris Nee (an Irish-American who was an associate producer for international versions of Sesame Street) and produced by Brown Bag Films which aired on Disney Channel and Disney Junior from March 23, 2012, to April 18, 2020. The series centers on a girl who can "fix" toys, with help from her toy friends. It features songs written and composed by Kay Hanley and Michelle Lewis. Stuffed clams (or stuffies) are popular in New England, especially in Rhode Island, and consist of a breadcrumb and minced clam mixture that is baked on the half shell of a quahog hard shell clam. Other ingredients typically found in the basic breadcrumb mixture are: meat such as sausage, bacon or chouriço (Portuguese sausage), chili pepper, lemon juice, bell peppers, celery, onion, garlic, spices and herbs. A stuffed toy is a toy doll with an outer fabric sewn from a textile and stuffed with flexible material.
