Dallas Michael John Albert Green (born September 29, 1980) is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer who records under the name City and Colour. He is also known for his contributions as a singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. In 2005, he debuted his first full-length album, ''Sometimes'', which achieved platinum certification in 2006. City and Colour began performing in small intimate venues between Alexisonfire tours. The name ''City and Colour'' comes from his own name: ''Dallas'', a city, and ''Green'', a colour. ''A Pill for Loneliness'' is the sixth studio album by City and Colour. It was released on 4 October 2019 through frontman Dallas Green's own record label, Still Records. The lead single, "Astronaut", was released on 3 June 2019, with the album being officially announced on 15 August 2019. The release was City and Colour's fourth consecutive studio album to reach No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart. Jacquire King (born January 11, 1967) is an American record producer, recording engineer and mixer. King has worked with such notable artists as Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, James Bay, Kaleo, Modest Mouse, Shania Twain, Buddy Guy, Norah Jones, Of Monsters and Men, Cold War Kids, Punch Brothers, City and Colour, Robert Ellis, Dawes and others. His work has received more than 35 Grammy Award nominations to date. Career King had his initial training in recording engineering at Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio. His first studio employment was in the Washington, D.C. area. In 1988, he moved to California and got a job at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco. Christopher Phillip Verene (born 29 October 1969) is an American fine arts and documentary photographer, performance artist, and musician. He is a professor of photography at the College of Staten Island, CUNY. Verene was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship in 2021. Biography Verene was born in DeKalb, Illinois, and is the son of philosopher Donald Verene. He spent his teens and twenties in Atlanta, Georgia and studied art and photography at Georgia State University after completing his undergraduate degree at Emory University.
