''Story of a Woman'' is a 1970 Italian-American drama romance film written, produced and directed by Leonardo Bercovici and starring Bibi Andersson, Robert Stack and James Farentino. Plot A Swedish girl studying to be a concert pianist in Rome falls in love with a medical student. Leonardo Bercovici
Leonardo Bercovici (January 4, 1908, Brooklyn, New York, USA – November 22, 1995, Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American screenwriter, film director and producer. Blacklisting and aftermath Bercovici was called to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee and blacklisted. He was named by Edward Dmytryk and Richard Collins. On May 16, 1951, he swore he was not a member of the Communist Party, but invoked his fifth amendment right to incriminate himself when he was asked whether he had been a member in the past. He moved to Europe and worked in the European film industry until about 1958, when it was announced he would write the Tyrone Power film ''Two Against Tomorrow'', but Power's death ended the project. Ornella Vanoni (; born 22 September 1934) is an Italian singer-songwriter and actress. She is one of the longest-standing Italian artists, having started performing in 1956. She has released about 112 works between LP, EPs and greatest hits albums, and is considered one of most popular interpreters of Italian pop music. During her long career she has sold over 65 million records. Artistic career Vanoni started her artistic career in 1960 as a theatre actress. She mostly performed in Bertolt Brecht works, under the direction of Giorgio Strehler at his Piccolo Teatro in Milan. At the same time, she started a music career. John Bertil "Beppe" Wolgers (10 November 1928 – 6 August 1986) was a Swedish author, poet, translator, lyricist, actor, entertainer and artist. Career Wolgers was born in Stockholm, Sweden and was the son of forest ranger John Wolgers and Gerda (née Korsgren). He attended Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, United States from 1947 to 1948 and Poppius journalistskola and Otte Skölds målarskola from 1946 to 1947.
