Stimpy's Big Day
"Stimpy's Big Day" is the first episode of the first season of '' The Ren & Stimpy Show'', that originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on 11 August 1991. Plot In the first part of a two-part story, Ren and Stimpy are living together in a trailer park. Ren berates Stimpy for spending too much time watching cartoons on television and, in particular, ''The Muddy Mudskipper Show''. Stimpy enters a poetry contest for the Nitty Gritty Kitty Litter company where he declares his love of their kitty litter despite Ren's opposition. Stimpy's inane poem wins the first prize. As a result, Stimpy is awarded $47 million and an appearance on ''The Muddy Mudskipper Show''. Ren tries to steal the $47 million by pretending to be Stimpy. Stimpy leaves for Hollywood while Ren becomes lonely in his trailer park. The story concludes with the next episode, ''The Big Shot!''. ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' (also known as ''Ren & Stimpy'') is an American animated television series created by Canadian animator John Kricfalusi. Originally produced by Spümcø for Nickelodeon, the series aired from August 11, 1991, to December 16, 1995, with a total of five seasons and 52 episodes. The series follows the adventures of Ren Höek, an emotionally unstable and sociopathic chihuahua dog; and Stimpy, a good-natured and dimwitted manx cat. The New Adventures Of Beany And Cecil
''The New Adventures of Beany and Cecil'' was a very short-lived revival of Bob Clampett's ''Beany and Cecil''. It was produced in 1988 by DIC Animation City. Only five half-hour episodes aired out of the thirteen in production during its original run. This incarnation of the show was developed, produced, and directed by Canadian animator John Kricfalusi, who would later create Nickelodeon's ''The Ren & Stimpy Show''. Production ABC had been negotiating for the production of the show with the Clampett family, who insisted that John Kricfalusi would be part of the production. The long negotiations delayed the start of production to mid-July, causing much of the animation to be rushed in order to meet the September deadline. Tensions rose between Kricfalusi and ABC over the tone of the show, leading to an uncomfortable atmosphere for the show's crew. Rae Naylor (born November 7, 1953) is a Canadian animator, artist, designer, director, and producer for television. She is best known for co-creating DreamWorks' ''The Mighty Ones'', co-founding the animation studio Spümcø with John Kricfalusi, Bob Camp, and Jim Smith, and co-developing ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' for Nickelodeon. ''The Simpsons'' is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. Spumco, Inc. (stylized as SPüMCø) was an American animation studio that was active from 1989 to 2005 and based in Los Angeles, California. The studio was best known for working on the first two seasons of ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' for Nickelodeon and for various commercials. The studio won several awards, including an Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject for the music video of the song " I Miss You" by Björk. Spümcø was founded by animators John Kricfalusi, Bob Camp, Jim Smith and Lynne Naylor. Kricfalusi named the company after the fictional person "Raymond Spüm", whom he jokingly described as the inventor of animation. Michael John Kricfalusi ( ; born September 9, 1955), known professionally as John K., is a Canadian illustrator, blogger, voice actor and former animator. He is the creator of the animated television series ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'', which was highly influential on televised animation during the 1990s. From 1989 to 1992, he was heavily involved with the first two seasons of the show in virtually every aspect of its production, including providing the voice of Ren Höek and other characters. In 2009, he won the Inkpot Award. Born in Quebec, Kricfalusi spent his early childhood in Germany and Belgium before returning to Canada at age seven. He acquired his skills largely by copying cartoons from newspapers and comic books as a child, and by studying cartoons and their production systems from the 1940s and 1950s. She is best known for voicing Angelica Pickles in the television series ''Rugrats'' and its spinoffs '' All Grown Up!'', ''Angelica and Susie's Pre-School Daze'', and the reboot of the same name.
