Steven Morris (Australian Footballer)
Steven Morris (born 31 December 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Junior and state league football Morris grew up on his family's farm in the Victorian town of Toolern Vale, 39 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. He attended high school and played school football for St. Bernard's in Melbourne's north. In 2007 Morris played for and captained the Western Jets in the TAC Cup. He was named in 2012 as a member of the Jets' all time best-22, celebrating the club's 21st anniversary. Morris was passed over in successive drafts in 2006 and 2007 before making the decision to leave home and take a chance to play the SANFL. He moved in with family friends and began playing for West Adelaide in 2008. His father had previously coached the team to a Grand Final in 1991. Western Jets
The Western Jets is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Victorian premier U19 competition, the NAB League, since its inception in 1992. The club have developmental squads in the U16, however much of the attention is towards its U18 team. The club is geographically set in Melbourne's West as part of a decision by AFL Victoria (formerly Football Victoria) to have clubs in all regions of the state. The club trains in Melbourne's inner west at Crofts Reserve in Altona North and plays NAB League matches at Burbank Oval in Williamstown. Damien Hardwick
Damien Patrick Hardwick (born 18 August 1972) is an Australian rules football coach and former player. He is the senior coach of the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) since 2010, and has the longest continuous service of any current AFL coach. His playing career as a defender comprised 153 games for Essendon (1994–2001) and 54 games for Port Adelaide (2002–2004). He won premierships with each club, in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Hardwick was appointed head coach of Richmond at the end of the 2009 season, in which the club had placed second-last. Richmond returned to the finals in 2013, Hardwick's fourth season in charge, and in 2017 defeated Adelaide in the grand final to claim their first premiership since 1980.
