Steve MacLean (astronaut)
Steven Glenwood MacLean (born December 14, 1954) is a Canadian astronaut. He was the President of the Canadian Space Agency, from September 1, 2008, to February 1, 2013. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and is married to Nadine Wielgopolski of Hull, Quebec. They have three children. He enjoys hiking, canoeing, flying, parachuting and gymnastics. In 2013 he returned to physics research as an associate member of the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) at the University of Waterloo. Personal MacLean attended Merivale High School in Nepean, Ontario. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in physics in 1977 and a doctorate in physics in 1983 from York University in Toronto. Steven MacLean (born 23 August 1982) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He coaches at St Johnstone. MacLean has previously played for Rangers, Scunthorpe United, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle, Aberdeen, Oxford United, Yeovil Town, Cheltenham Town, St Johnstone and Raith Rovers. He also represented the Scotland national under-21 football team. Club career Early career MacLean began his senior football career at Rangers, followed by a loan spell at Third Division outfit Scunthorpe United, scoring 25 goals. Despite this, Rangers manager Alex McLeish deemed that he was not "a first team prospect" and placed him on the transfer list. Steve McLean is a retired Scottish-American soccer forward who played professionally in the Major Indoor Soccer League and was a member of the U.S. team at the 1981 FIFA World Youth Championship. He is currently a sales manager with Nike, Inc. Soccer Youth Raised in Kearny, McLean graduated from Kearny High School where he was a 1978 First Team High School All American soccer player. He was later selected to the Wall Soccer Club team of the 1970s. He attended Philadelphia Textile, playing on the men's soccer team from 1979 to 1983. He was a 1980 Honorable Mention as well as a 1982 and 1983 first team All American. He is currently sixth on the team's all-time assists list and eighth on the all time goals list. Steven McLean
Steven McLean (born 1 April 1981) is a Scottish football referee. He became a FIFA referee in 2010 and was selected to officiate at the 2011 UEFA U17 European Championship. In October 2011 McLean was in charge of a 2013 European Under-21 qualifier involving Spain and Croatia. In January 2012 McLean was the referee for a Scottish League Cup semi-final - an Ayrshire derby between Kilmarnock and Ayr United, won by the former who went on to lift the trophy. In March 2014 McLean refereed his first major national final, the 2014 Scottish League Cup Final between Aberdeen and Inverness Caledonian Thistle which Aberdeen won in a penalty shoot-out. However at the end of the league season he angered Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes by failing to award a foul in the last minute of their match with Motherwell, permitting Motherwell to score the winning goal and thereby overtake Aberdeen in the standings.
