Steven Aalders
Steven Aalders (born 4 July 1959) is an abstract artist, known for his minimal geometric oil paintings. Biography Steven Aalders was born on 4 July 1959 in Middelburg, in the Netherlands, and grew up in Amsterdam. He studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam (1979-1982), Croydon College of Art in London (1982-1983) and Ateliers 63 in Haarlem (1983-1985). After winning the Royal Award in Painting in 1986 he worked in Barcelona for a year. In 2011 he undertook a residency at the Josef Albers Foundation in Bethany, Connecticut and in 2017 at the Van Doesburghuis in Meudon, Paris. Aalders lives and works in Amsterdam. Exhibitions Aalders had his first gallery solo show at Jurka Gallery in Amsterdam in 1987, and has exhibited regularly since then, particularly at the Slewe Gallery in Amsterdam. Kröller-Müller Museum
The Kröller-Müller Museum () is a national art museum and sculpture garden, located in the Hoge Veluwe National Park in Otterlo in the Netherlands. The museum, founded by art collector Helene Kröller-Müller within the extensive grounds of her and her husband's former estate (now the national park), opened in 1938. It has the second-largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh, after the Van Gogh Museum. The museum had 380,000 visitors in 2015. Amersfoort () is a city and municipality in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands, about 20 km from the city of Utrecht and 40 km south east of Amsterdam. Irma Boom (born 15 December 1960) is a Dutch graphic designer who specializes in bookmaking. Boom has been described as The Queen of Books, having created over 300 books and is well reputed for her artistic autonomy within her field. Her bold experimental approach to her projects often challenges the convention of traditional books in both physical design and printed content. Boom has been noted as the youngest recipient of the ''Gutenberg Prize'', an award recognizing outstanding services to the advancement of the book arts. Otterlo
Otterlo is a village in the municipality of Ede of province of Gelderland in the Netherlands, in or near the Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe. The Kröller-Müller Museum, named after Helene Kröller-Müller, is situated nearby and has the world's second largest collection of Vincent van Gogh paintings.
