Steve Parr (broadcaster)
Steve Parr (born 1955) is a New Zealand-based former TV and radio personality. Parr was a presenter on the children's TV show ''What Now'' during the years 1983 to 1984. From 1989 to 1995, Parr then hosted the New Zealand edition of ''Sale of the Century'' alongside Judith Dobson and later Julie White. After retiring from broadcasting, Parr ventured in real estate, and later a business specialising in elevated photography. What Now
''What Now'' is a New Zealand children's television programme that premiered on Saturday 9 May 1981. It is currently filmed before a live audience at a different school in New Zealand, which is selected every week. The show airs every Sunday at 8.30 am on TVNZ 2 and has segments such as Tamariki Titans, DareDevil Levels and Hoover Hover. It has no adverts, due to the Broadcasting Act 1989 which states that no commercial advertising can be shown on New Zealand television between 6 am and noon on Sundays. ''Sale of the Century'' (stylized as ''$ale of the Century'') is an American television game show that originally debuted on September 29, 1969, on NBC daytime. It was one of three NBC game shows to premiere on that date, the other two being the short-lived game shows ''Letters to Laugh-In'' and ''Name Droppers''. The series aired until July 13, 1973, and a weekly syndicated series began that fall and ran for one season. The rights to the show were purchased in 1980 by Australian TV mogul Reg Grundy, who produced a similar show called ''Great Temptation'' in the 1970s. Grundy subsequently launched an Australian version of ''Sale of the Century''. Grundy's modified format was then used in a revived American ''Sale of the Century'' that aired on NBC from January 3, 1983 to March 24, 1989. Julie K. White (born June 4, 1961) is an American actress. She won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in ''The Little Dog Laughed'' in 2007. Elevated Photography
Elevated photography is the process of taking aerial photos using a telescoping pole or mast, or other aerial or elevated support systems, to emulate aerial photographs, or video, taken from a commercially licensed aircraft. In some ways, elevated photography is more flexible than imagery taken from a commercial aircraft, or an orbiting satellite, in that it is capable of getting highly detailed images, from a birds eye view. This method allows for image collection that offers synoptic timelines - making this process a useful tool for construction management, litigation, accident investigation, real estate promotion and much more. The price and flexibility of elevated imaging is generally quite reasonable, and it includes varying degrees of compatibility with related engineering-quality software.
