Steve Olson is a 1970s-1980s era American professional skateboarder and contemporary artist originally from Orange County, California. In 1979, he was sponsored by Santa Cruz Skateboards, turning professional alongside of teammates Duane Peters and Steve Alba. Later the same year Olson would receive the Skateboarder Of The Year award. Among his contributions to the culture, Olson is credited with first introducing the skateboarding world to Punk rock music. In 2014, Olson was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. Duane Peters
Duane Thomas Peters (born June 12, 1961) is a punk rock singer/songwriter and professional skateboarder. Active since 1975, he is probably best known as the singer in the California punk rock band U.S. Bombs, which formed in 1993. Biography Peters is credited for popularizing, or in his words "inventing" many tricks, such as the "acid drop" into a pool/bowl, the "layback grind", the "Indy air", the "Sweeper", the "backside layback grind revert", the "fakie hang-up" (a.k.a. "Disaster"), the "invert revert", the "fakie thruster", and the "loop of death", a full 360-degree rotation in a specially designed loop. Stacy Douglas Peralta (born October 15, 1957) is an American film director and entrepreneur. He was previously a professional skateboarder and surfer with the Zephyr Competition Team, also known as the Z-Boys, from Venice, California. Early life Peralta was born in Venice, California, of Mexican and Irish descent. At age 15, he began competing with the Z-Boys, a group sponsored by the surf shop Jeff Ho Surfboards and Zephyr Productions along with Perry Caravello. His second sponsor was Gordon and Smith. Lonnie Toft
Lonnie Toft is a 1970s era American professional skateboarder and snowboarder from Southern California who has also been extensively involved with surfing, wakeboarding and Standup paddleboarding. He was one of the first skateboarders to ride a broader, almost shoe-width boards (20cm-25cm wide). He is the inventor of the eight-wheeled skateboard and along with Gordy Lienemann created the ''G-turn'' maneuver. He is also the co-creator of the snowboard and was subsequently one of the first professional skateboarders to embrace and promote snowboarding. Toft was originally sponsored by Pepsi in the early 1970s, performing at skateboarding exhibitions across the United States.
