Stephens High School
Stephens High School was a comprehensive public high school located in Stephens, Arkansas, United States. The school provided secondary education in grades 7 through 12 for approximately 175 students. It was one of four public high schools in Ouachita County and is the sole high school administered by the Stephens School District. The roadrunner was the mascot and the school colors were black and gold. The Stephens school district was dissolved effective July 1, 2014, with portions given to the Camden Fairview School District, the Magnolia School District, and the Nevada School District. Academics The Stephens High School and the rest of Stephens School District closed down after the 2013-2014 school year. The students who went to SHS were consolidated to three other schools: Nevada High School in Rosston, Magnolia High School in Magnolia, and Camden-Fairview High School in Camden. Stephens College
Stephens College is a private women's college in Columbia, Missouri. It is the second-oldest women's educational establishment that is still a women's college in the United States. It was founded on August 24, 1833, as the Columbia Female Academy. In 1856, David H. Hickman helped secure the college's charter under the name The Columbia Female Baptist Academy In the late 19th century it was renamed Stephens College after James L. Stephens endowed the college with $20,000. From 1937 to 1943, its Drama Department became renowned under its chairman and teacher, the actress Maude Adams, James M. Barrie's first American Peter Pan. The Warehouse Theater is the major performance venue for the college. The campus includes a National Historic District: Stephens College South Campus Historic District. Stephens Media Group is an Oklahoma based radio broadcaster that owns 75 radio stations particularly in small to mid-size markets. Its flagship stations are at its headquarters in Tulsa. Stephens refers to itself as "A portfolio of People", referencing the team members who work for the company. John Stephens Orr (6 March 1907 – 1990) was a 20th-century Scottish Glasgow photographer with an interest in people and motor cars. Practising between 1930 and 1970 in Glasgow's Langside and later at No. 4 Somerset Place, Charing Cross, he became known for his portraits of society figures in magazines such as ''Scottish Field''.
