Stephen O'Sullivan
Stephen O'Sullivan is a footballer from the Skellig Rangers club in South Kerry. He played with Kerry at all levels from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s. He first played with the Kerry minor team that won the 1997 Munster Championship. He then moved on to the Under 21 side and won another Munster Championship in 1999 and played in the All Ireland final but was on the losing side to Westmeath. He moved on to the Kerry senior panel for the 2000 season, he didn't play in any games but won an All Ireland medal as a sub. Skellig Rangers are a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Portmagee, County Kerry. They play in Kerry Intermediate Football Championship, Kerry County League as well as the South Kerry Senior Football Championship and South Kerry Leagues. The Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kerry GAA, is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland. It is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kerry, and for the Kerry county teams. The Kerry branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association was founded in the year 1888. Football is the dominant sport in the county, with both the men's and women's teams among the strongest in the country at senior level. The county football team was the fourth from the province of Munster to win an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC), as well as to appear in the final, following Limerick, Tipperary and Cork. ''Skellig'' is a children's novel by the British author David Almond, published by Hodder in 1998. It was the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year and it won the Carnegie Medal from the Library Association, recognising the year's outstanding children's book by a British author. In the US it was a runner up for the Michael L. Printz Award, which recognises one work of young adult fiction annually. Since publication, it has also been adapted into a play, an opera, and a film.
