His best known roles were that of the prospective father-in-law, Burt Johnson, in the hit 1981 film ''Arthur'' and as Chief Hubbard in the 1984 blockbuster ''Beverly Hills Cop''. Stephen Elliott (born December 3, 1971) is an American writer, editor, and filmmaker currently living in Los Angeles who has written and published seven books and directed two films. He is the founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the online literary magazine ''The Rumpus''. In December 2014, he became senior editor at ''Epic Magazine''. Background and education Elliott grew up in Chicago. In his adolescence he was made a ward of the court and placed in several group homes. He attended Mather High School and the University of Illinois, and went on to receive his master's degree in cinema studies from Northwestern University in 1996. In 2001, he was awarded the Stegner Fellowship from Stanford University, given to emerging writers in fiction and poetry. Club career Derby County Born in Derby, Derbyshire, Elliott came through the ranks at Pride Park and made his first team debut in the League Cup in September 1997. Stephen Elliott (August 31, 1806 – December 21, 1866) was the 37th bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America. He was the first Bishop of Georgia and Provisional Bishop of Florida. He was also the first and only Presiding Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Confederate States of America. Early life and career He was born on August 31, 1806, in Beaufort, South Carolina, the son of Stephen Elliott the botanist. He attended Harvard and graduated in 1825 from South Carolina College, where he was president of the Clariosophic Society.
