Step By Step (Heartland)
'' Heartland'' is a Canadian family drama television series which debuted on CBC on October 14, 2007. ''Heartland'' follows sisters Amy and Lou Fleming, their grandfather Jack Bartlett, and Ty Borden through the highs and lows of life at their horse ranch in the fictional town of Hudson, Alberta. The plot focuses on Amy, who inherited her mother's ability to heal abused and damaged horses after a tragic accident that led to significant changes in the lives of the characters. Susin Nielsen
Susin Nielsen is a Canadian author for children, adolescent and young adults. She received a Governor General's Award and the 2013 Canadian Library Association Book of the Year for Children Award for her young adult novel '' The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen'', which deals with the aftermath of a school shooting. Career Susin Nielsen began her writing career with the Degrassi franchise, writing scripts for the television shows as well as books for the series. Tim Southam (born October 1, 1961) is a Canadian television and film director. Career Tim Southam’s directing work includes Canadian films and international series. A cattle drive is the process of moving a herd of cattle from one place to another, usually moved and herded by cowboys on horses. A guest ranch, also known as a dude ranch, is a type of ranch oriented towards visitors or tourism. It is considered a form of agritourism. History Guest ranches arose in response to the romanticization of the American West that began to occur in the late 19th century. In 1893, historian Frederick Jackson Turner stated that the United States frontier was demographically "closed". This in turn led many people to have feelings of nostalgia for bygone days, but also, given that the risks of a true frontier were gone, allowed for nostalgia to be indulged in relative safety. George Canyon
George Canyon (born Frederick George Lays, August 22, 1970) is a Canadian country music singer. He was the runner up on the second season of ''Nashville Star'' in 2004. He grew up in Fox Brook, Pictou County, Nova Scotia before he moved west to Calgary, Alberta. The mustang is a free-roaming horse of the Western United States, descended from horses brought to the Americas by the Spanish. Mustangs are often referred to as wild horses, but because they are descended from once- domesticated animals, they are actually feral horses.
