Steen Bille
Steen Bille (1565–1629) was a Danish councillor and diplomat. He was the son of Jens Bille and Karen Rønnow, and is sometimes called "Steen Jensen Bille". His father compiled a manuscript of ballads, Jens Billes visebog. As a young man Bille travelled in Europe. He then worked for the council of Danish Regents for the young Christian IV. Missions to Scotland Anne of Denmark set out from Copenhagen to Scotland to meet her husband James VI of Scotland in September 1590. The weather forced her to shore near Oslo. Steen Bille, William Stewart, and Andrew Sinclair brought Anne's letters to Edinburgh on 10 October. She described the delay and four or five failed attempts to cross the North Sea, and said she had decided to stay in Norway over the winter. Steen Erik Mastrup (born 2 June 1958) is a Danish former motorcycle speedway rider. Born in Naestved, Mastrup established himself in Danish speedway and represented Denmark at under-21 level in 1977. Steen Skovgaard is a retired male badminton player from Denmark who specialized in the doubles events and won national and international titles in both men's doubles and mixed doubles from the mid-1970s through the early 1980s. He played for the Gentofte BK. Career The tall, hard-hitting Skovgaard won the gold medal at the 1977 IBF World Championships in mixed doubles with Lene Køppen, defeating Derek Talbot and Gillian Gilks by 15-12, 18-17 in the final. They also won the bronze medal at the 1980 IBF World Championships. At the European Badminton Championships they won two silver medals, in 1976 and 1978. Steen Eiler Rasmussen, Hon. FAIA (9 January 1898 – 19 June 1990) was a Danish architect and urban planner who was a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and a prolific writer of books and poetry. He was made a Royal Designer for Industry by the British Royal Society of Arts in 1947. Steen Rasmussen (born 7 July 1955) is a Danish physicist mainly working in the areas of artificial life and complex systems. He is currently a professor in physics and a center director at University of Southern Denmark as well as an external research professor at the Santa Fe Institute. His formal training was at the Technical University of Denmark (1985 PhD in physics of complex systems) and University of Copenhagen (philosophy). He spent 20 years as a researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory (1988-2007) the last five years as a leader of the Self-Organized Systems team. He has been part of the Santa Fe Institute since 1988. The main scientific effort of Rasmussen has since 2001 has been to explore, understand and construct a transition from nonliving to living materials. Steen Ottesen Brahe (21 December 1547 – 11 April 1620) was a Danish privy counsellor and landowner. Early life and education Brahe was born on 21 December 1547 at Gladsaxehus in Scania, the son of Otte Thygesen Brahe of Knudstrup (1518–1571) and Beate Clausdatter Bille (1526–1605), He was the younger brother of Tycho Brahe. Steen Nedergaard
Steen Nedergaard (born 25 February 1970 in Aalborg, Denmark) is a Danish former professional footballer who played in the full-back position. Nedergaard spent the larger part of his career in Denmark with Odense BK. He gained 14 caps for the Danish under-21 national side, and was lauded as 1990 Danish ''under-21 Player of the Year''. In the summer of 2000, he signed a three-year contract with Norwich City F.C. in England. His first season was wrecked by injuries, however in his second season he found good form and came second in the vote for Norwich City player of the year. The team reached the final of the English Division One play-offs, however Nedergaard missed the play-off matches after suffering another injury.
