State University Of Library Studies And Information Technologies
The University of Library Studies and Information Technologies is a Bulgarian university. It is the successor consequently of the Specialised Higher School of Library Studies and Information Technologies (est. 2 Sept 2004), the College of Library Studies and Information Technologies (CLSIT), the College of Library Studies (CLS), the Institute of Library Studies (ILS) and the State Institute of Library Studies (est. 1950). The current school was established by a resolution of the National Assembly of Bulgaria on 29 September 2010. SULSIT is member of the Balkan Universities Network. Sofia
Sofia ( ; bg, София, Sofiya, ) is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. It is situated in the Sofia Valley at the foot of the Vitosha mountain in the western parts of the country. The National Assembly ( bg, Народно събрание, Narodno sabranie) is the unicameral parliament and legislative body of the Republic of Bulgaria. The National Assembly was established in 1879 with the Tarnovo Constitution. Balkan Universities Network
The Balkan Universities Network or Balkan Universities Association (BAUNAS) is an association of universities in Southeast Europe. In its present form the body was created after the breakup of the SFR Yugoslavia and the end of the Yugoslav Wars. Association facilitates the regional cooperation in the context of expansion of higher education sector caused by the establishment of new private and public universities (in addition to traditional schools with their existing institutional links). Association helped in the exchange of experiences in the implementation of the Bologna Process at Balkan universities. The aim of the network is the exchange of know how and experience in research and education, mutual acceptance of certificates, encouragement of professors and students for more mobility between the universities and the use of support programs for student exchange.
