''Stat'' is an American television sitcom that aired six episodes, from April 16 to May 21, 1991, on Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time, on the American Broadcasting Company network. Premise The series centered on the staff of New York City's Hudson Memorial Hospital. The show was a remake of the 1977 sitcom '' A.E.S. Hudson Street''. Dennis Boutsikaris
Dennis Boutsikaris (; born December 21, 1952) is an American character actor who has won the Obie Award twice. He is also a narrator of audiobooks, for which he has won 13 Golden Earphone Awards and 8 Audie Awards. He won Best Audiobook of the Year from Amazon for his reading of American Gods. Early life and education Boutsikaris was born in Newark, New Jersey, to a Greek American father and Jewish mother, and grew up in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. He took up acting while a student at Governor Livingston High School, because he felt he was too small to succeed in athletics. A graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, Boutsikaris toured the country with John Houseman's The Acting Company doing classical theatre. Casey Patrick Biggs (born April 4, 1955) is an American actor, best known throughout the '' Star Trek'' community for starring as the Cardassian Damar, on '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine''. He has appeared in over eighty film and television and stage productions. Early life Biggs was born on April 4, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio. When he was very young, he was a foster child. He decided to pursue acting when he was a student at Central Catholic High School and graduated in 1973. He received a BFA from Juilliard in 1977; studied acting at the Toledo Repertory Theatre. Career In January 1996, Biggs was in the made-for-TV movie ''A Promise to Carolyn''. In 1996, he was nominated for the role of Damar in the science fiction show '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine''. Ronald Ellis Canada (born May 3, 1949) is an American actor with a specialty in portraying judges and detectives. He is best known for '' One on One'' (2001–2004), ''The Shield'' (2003–2004), and '' Lone Star'' (1996). Career Following completion of the Michele Clark broadcast journalism program at Columbia University, under the guidance of producer Fred Friendly, Canada commenced his career as a television news reporter in 1971 at WBAL-TV. Alison La Placa (born December 16, 1959) is an American actress best known for the role of acid-tongued yuppie Linda Phillips in the Fox sitcoms '' Duet'' and its spin-off '' Open House'', both of which aired in the late 1980s. Biography Early life and career La Placa is a graduate of Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where she majored in drama.
