''Standing on the Edge'' is the third studio album by American country music artist John Berry. It was released in 1995 by Patriot Records. It peaked at number 12 on the Top Country Albums chart, and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album includes the singles "Every Time My Heart Calls Your Name", "Standing on the Edge of Goodbye", "I Think About It All the Time" and "If I Had Any Pride Left at All", as well as a cover of Hank Snow's 1963 single "Ninety Miles an Hour." Jim Ridley of ''New Country'' magazine gave the album three stars out of five. His review compares Berry's "anthemic songs of passion and romance" to the works of Meat Loaf, citing "Every Time My Heart Calls Your Name" and "If I Had Any Pride Left at All" as standouts, but calling "There's No Cross That Love Won't Bear" "the most godawful four minutes of lachrymose drivel since €¦he last big social statement song." John Edward Berry (born September 14, 1959) is an American country music artist. Active as a recording artist since 1979, he has recorded more than 20 studio albums, including one platinum album and two gold albums. Stewart Hamill Harris is an American country music songwriter. Active since the late 1970s, he has had four compositions which have reached number one on the '' Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart. Biography and career Harris was born in Birmingham, Alabama but raised in South Carolina, where he performed as a folk music singer. He then moved to New York City and Washington, D.C. before meeting Harry Warner, president of Jerry Reed's publishing company, Vector Music. Dan Dugmore is an American session musician known primarily for playing the pedal steel guitar Born in 1949, Dugmore was raised in Pasadena, California. Influenced by the Flying Burrito Brothers, he learned to play steel guitar after Flying Burrito Brothers member Sneaky Pete Kleinow sold him one. Dugmore then joined John Stewart's road band, and then Linda Ronstadt's; he also played for several James Taylor albums. In the 1990s, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he began playing steel guitar on country music albums. He self-released a Beatles cover album in 2003 titled ''Off White Album''. Eddie Bayers (born January 28, 1949) is an American session drummer who has played on 300 gold and platinum albums. He received the Academy of Country Music 'Drummer of the Year Award' for fourteen years, has three times won the Nashville Music Awards 'Drummer of the Year,' and was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2019. Early life Aronoff grew up in Stockbridge, Massachusetts He developed an interest in music at an early age and gravitated to the drums as "drumming was one hundred percent energy". Donald Irwin Robertson (December 5, 1922 – March 16, 2015) was an American songwriter and pianist, mostly in the country music, country and popular music genres. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972. As a performer, he hit the US Top 40, Top 10 with "The Happy Whistler" in 1956 (Peaking at 6th). The track reached No. 8 in the UK Singles Chart the same year. It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a music recording sales certification, gold disc. Keith Follesé (born 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American songwriter and co-founder of Midas Records Nashville. Early in his career, Follesé recorded with his wife, Adrienne, on A&M Records.
