Stok
Stok is a village in the Leh district of Ladakh, India. It is located in the Leh tehsil, in the Indus Valley 17 km southeast of the Leh town. The village is home to the 14th century Stok Monastery, with its high seated Gautama Buddha statue, constructed between 2012–2015 and consecrated by the Dalai Lama on 8 August 2016. Stok's 19th century palace is the current residence of the former royal family of Ladakh. Within the palace, a museum contains the shrine, crown, ceremonial dress and jewellery of the Ladakhi king. Stok Kangri () sits at the head of the Stok Chu river valley. Siddhartha School is located at the northernmost edge of the village. Geography Stok is located at . It has an average elevation of . Stak Valley ( ur, , bft, སྟཀ ནལ་, script=Tibt) is a valley in the Roundu Subdivision of District Skardu, in the Gilgit-Balitistan territory of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The valley is on the right bank of the Indus River, between the cities of Skardu and Giligit. The valley is the biggest valley in term of area and population in Roundu subdivision. The valley has been one of the very important regions of the area in term of in history and of geological formation as well. Geography Stak Valley is situated in the middle of Skardu and Gilgit city on the right bank of the Indus River and Gilgit-Skardu Road. ''Rogue Trooper'' is a science fiction strip in the British comic '' 2000 AD'', created by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons in 1981. It portrays the adventures of a " Genetic Infantryman" named Rogue and three uploaded minds mounted on his equipment who search for the Traitor General. The series was rebooted in 1989 in the story "The War Machine", featuring a new version of the character called Friday. This version of the character last appeared in 1996. The original character returned in 1999 and all stories since then have featured the original Rogue. The character has also featured in a number of ''2000 AD'' crossovers.
