Stade Français (association Football)
Stade Français Football () is a French association football club team based in Paris that plays in the suburban town of Vaucresson. The team is the football section of the sports club Stade Français, whose Stade Français section is currently the most successful. The team currently plays at the Haras Lupine sports center in Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine), in the western suburbs of Paris. The club has merged with other Île-de-France clubs several times in its history, once with Cercle athlétique de Paris between 1942 and 1944, and again with Red Star to form Stade français-Red Star between 1948 and 1950. Stade Français played its matches at the Bauer stadium in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis) after the war, then at the Parc des Princes until 1968, and at the Jean-Bouin stadium in the 1970s and 1980s when the club competed at professional and national levels. Vaucresson
Vaucresson () is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is in the Hauts-de-Seine department from the center of Paris. Vaucresson contains abundant parkland; 22 of its 308 hectares are classed as natural zones. Today Vaucresson is principally a wealthy residential community, and has the ninth-highest household income of any commune in France. The Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, most commonly referred to as the Fairs Cup and sometimes as the European Fairs Cup or Fairs Cities' Cup, was a European football competition played between 1955 and 1971. The Fairs Cup was the idea of FIFA vice-president and executive committee member Ernst Thommen, Italian Football Federation president and FIFA executive committee member Ottorino Barassi and English Football Association general secretary, Stanley Rous. As the name suggests, the competition was set up to promote international trade fairs. Friendly games were regularly held between teams from cities holding trade fairs and it was from these games that the competition evolved. Henri Léon Jean Pavillard (15 August 1905 – 29 January 1978) was a French international footballer. He is mostly known for his international career and his club stint at Stade Français. André Lerond (6 December 1930 – 8 April 2018) was a French footballer who played as a defender. He played mainly as a centre back or at left back, and occasionally as a left half. He was part of the French national teams of the 1950s. According to France Football in 2007, Lerond was "of average size, but extremely quick, a great technician, calm and always at the right place. Georges Carnus (born 13 August 1940) is a French former professional footballer who played as goalkeeper. At international level, he made 36 appearances for the France national team.
