St Leonard's (ward)
St Leonard's ward is an administrative division of the London Borough of Lambeth, United Kingdom. It is located in the south west of the borough and shares a border with Wandsworth. The ward comprises the western part of the Streatham town centre and is mostly to the west of the A23 Streatham High Road, with the exception of the Stanthorpe Triangle area immediately east of St Leonard's church in the historic village centre. The population of the ward at the 2011 Census was 14,550. St Leonard's ward is located in the Streatham Parliamentary constituency. The local Member of Parliament since 2019 is Bell Ribeiro-Addy of the Labour Party. 2018 Lambeth London Borough Council Election
The 2018 Lambeth London Borough Council election took place on 3 May 2018 alongside other local elections in London, to elect members of Lambeth London Borough Council in England. The election saw Labour remain in control of Lambeth Council with a slightly reduced majority, winning over 90% of the seats. The Green Party achieved its best-ever result in the borough, winning five seats and becoming the official opposition and the largest Green group in London. The Green Party finished the runner up in nine of the wards, the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats in five wards and Labour in two. 2022 Lambeth London Borough Council Election
The 2022 Lambeth London Borough Council election is due to take place on 5 May 2022. All 63 members of Lambeth London Borough Council will be elected. The elections will take place alongside local elections in the other London boroughs and elections to local authorities across the United Kingdom. In the previous election in 2018, the Labour Party maintained its control of the council, winning 57 out of the 63 seats with the Green Party forming the principal opposition with five of the remaining six seats. Scott John Ainslie (born 27 December 1968) is a British politician and actor. He was elected as a Green Party Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for London in the 2019 European parliamentary election. He held this role until the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the EU. John Simon Bercow (; born 19 January 1963) is a British former politician who was Speaker of the House of Commons from 2009 to 2019, and Member of Parliament (MP) for Buckingham between 1997 and 2019.
