St Dominic's Grammar School
St Dominic's Grammar School (formerly St Dominic's Brewood and St Dominic's High School For Girls and boys ) is an independent day school for girls and boys aged 4 to 18 in the village of Brewood, Staffordshire, England. The school is centered on a large Victorian brick building in rural Staffordshire, just north of Wolverhampton. Founded in 1920 by the Dominican Order resident in Staffordshire, it is now an inter-denominational school but retains its Christian ethos and the historic logo featuring the cross from the order's seal. History St Dominic's was founded by the Dominican Sisters in 1920 as a small convent school for girls to train them in the "domestic arts". Rebecca Atkinson-Lord is a British theater and film director and writer. She grew up in Wolverhampton and was a scholarship pupil at St Dominic's High School for Girls in Brewood, Staffordshire. She read ancient history at the University of Bristol. before training as a theater director at RADA. In 2008 she founded Arch 468, a theatre production and development hub in Brixton. MyDaughter
MyDaughter was a British website set up by the Girls' Schools Association (GSA) offering advice to parents of daughters on all aspects of raising and educating girls. Advice was provided by headteachers from the member schools of the Girls' Schools Association and other specialists in fields such as nutrition, psychology, health education and business. History MyDaughter.co.uk was launched in January 2009 following a survey of a thousand parents of daughters, which highlighted a range of topics that were a cause of anxiety to parents. The research revealed that parents wanted help and advice on how to deal with these issues. Air Commodore Philippa Frances Marshall (4 November 1920 – 4 February 2005) was a British Royal Air Force officer, who served as Director of the Women's Royal Air Force from 1969 to 1973. Ovalhouse, formerly called Oval House Theatre, was an Off-West End theatre in the London Borough of Lambeth, located at 52–54 Kennington Oval, London, SE11 5SW.
