St Catherine's Football Club is an association football club based in Killybegs, County Donegal, Ireland. The team play in the Brian McCormick Sports Premier Division, the first tier of the Donegal Junior League. Their most famous former player is Séamus Coleman, who went on to play for League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers, transferred to English Premier League side Everton and took over as captain of the Republic of Ireland national football team during the UEFA Euro 2016 final tournament in France. 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 106th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 17 May 1992 and ended on 20 September 1992. Down entered the championship as the defending champions; however, they were defeated by Derry in the Ulster semi-final. Clare shocked many people by defeating Kerry in the Munster final to win only their second provincial senior title (their first having come in 1917); they narrowly lost to Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final. Ryan McHugh
Ryan McHugh (born 11 April 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is the brother of Mark and the son of Martin. A former county minor, McHugh propelled himself onto the national stage in 2014 with a 2–2 blitz of reigning All-Ireland champions Dublin in their live televised semi-final meeting at Croke Park. Barry McGowan
Barry McGowan (born 1966) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for Na Cealla Beaga and the Donegal county team. As of 2009, he was working for the ESB. Inter-county McGowan won the 1987 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship with Donegal. He fell out with manager Tom Conaghan during the 1980s. Brian McEniff restored him to the team in time for the 1990 Ulster SFC. McGowan made a late substitute appearance for Declan Bonner against Armagh in the 1990 Ulster Senior Football Championship final, won by Donegal. He was a member of Donegal's 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning team. The 2014 All-Ireland Football Final, the culmination of the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was played at Croke Park in Dublin on 21 September 2014. Ulster champions Donegal, last champions in 2012 took on Munster champions Kerry, last champions in 2009. Both sides defeated the previous year's finalists Dublin and Mayo in their semi-finals to set up this match between "the two great football outposts of the west-coast extremities". Hugh McFadden (Gaelic Footballer)
Hugh McFadden is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Na Cealla Beaga and the Donegal county team. He can operate at midfield or full-forward. He is Donegal's vice-captain, when Michael Murphy is absent. As a youth he played association football. Early life McFadden played association football for St Catherine's. At the age of "16 or 17" he signed for League of Ireland team Finn Harps. He then signed a one-year scholarship with another League of Ireland team, Sligo Rovers, Rovers having won the 2012 League of Ireland Premier Division. According to McFadden, there was interest in him from other League of Ireland clubs too. But interest in Gaelic football was on the rise in his native county following the victorious 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. Patrick McBrearty
Patrick McBrearty (born 5 August 1993) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is usually selected in the full-forward line for his county, often flanking Michael Murphy with Colm McFadden (before McFadden's retirement). In 2015, Pat Spillane included McBrearty in his top 40 footballers in the game today. Among other accolades, he has one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (2012), five Ulster Senior Football Championships (2011, 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2019) and two International Rules Series (2013, 2015). With this early success, McBrearty is believed to be "the most decorated player of his age ever to represent Donegal."
