St. Mochta's F.C.
St. Mochta's F.C. is an Irish association football club based in Clonsilla, Dublin. Their senior team play in the Leinster Senior League Senior Division. They also regularly compete in the FAI Cup, the FAI Intermediate Cup, the FAI Junior Cup and the Leinster Senior Cup. History St. Mochta's were founded in September 1949 when founder Barth O'Brien put a motion to the AGM of the St. Mochta's Branch of the Catholic Young Men's Society (CYMS) that a football section be formed within the branch. At the time, it was unsure exactly what type of ''football'' the club would play, considering that it could mean association football, rugby football, or gaelic football. After a vote from aspiring members, association football or soccer was chosen. Dean Kelly (born 18 September 1985), is an Irish footballer, currently playing for Leinster Senior League club St. Mochta’s F.C. He has previously played for Oldham Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, St Patrick's Athletic, Shelbourne, Bohemians, Longford Town and Bray Wanderers. Career Early career Kelly played youth football for WFTA FC in Finglas reaching the SFAI finals at under 13 and 15 levels and scoring in a Play-off to win the under 16 Premier League in the DDSL. He played for Tolka Rovers in the Leinster Senior League before joining Crumlin United for the 2009–10 season. It was a successful season in which his team won the Intermediate Cup, the Charlie Cahill and the Metropolitan, as well as the Leinster League Premier Division. Philip Hughes (born 12 September 1981) is an Irish footballer who plays as a forward for St. Mochta's in the Leinster Senior League. He was selected on the Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland Team of the Year on several occastions, as well as being selected as the overall "Player of the Year". As of 2018, Hughes had played with eleven different League of Ireland teams, including Dundalk, Monaghan United and Shelbourne for several spells. Career Early career Hughes, a much travelled player, began his football career with Tolka Rovers during the 1999–2000 season, scoring nine goals in 22 appearances. Stephen Paisley (born 28 July 1983) is a former Irish professional football player. Paisley was a central defender. Career Early career Paisley played schoolboy football for Dublin sides St. Mochta's and Cherry Orchard before joining English Premier League side Manchester City in 1999. Mark Kennedy (footballer, Born 1976)
Mark John Kennedy (born 15 May 1976) is an Irish football coach and former professional footballer and currently the head coach of Lincoln City. As a player, he was a left back and left winger from 1992 to 2012. He notably featured in the Premier League with Liverpool, Wimbledon, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as in the Football League for Millwall, Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town. Glen Crowe (born 25 December 1977) is an Irish professional football forward who plays for Malahide United in the Leinster Senior League. He was a prolific goalscorer in the League of Ireland Premier Division and has represented the Republic of Ireland national football team on two occasions.
