St. Margarets Bay is a bay located on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, Canada on the border of Halifax County ( Halifax Regional Municipality) and Lunenburg County ( Municipality of the District of Chester). Description Opening south directly onto the Atlantic, the bay's eastern shore is formed by the Chebucto Peninsula and its western shore by the Aspotogan Peninsula, while the head of the bay (the northern shore) is the main part of the Nova Scotia peninsula. The bay's shoreline is mostly rocky, although the head of the bay offers several sandy beaches at Queensland, Black Point and Cleveland; another sandy beach exists on the western shore of the bay at Bayswater and there is a small sandy beach along the eastern shore on Micou's Island. Tantallon (pronounced 'tan-TAL-en') is an exurban community in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. It extends from about two kilometers south of Nova Scotia Trunk 3, Trunk 3, along Nova Scotia Route 333, Route 333, just north of Ballfield Road, for roughly three kilometers along Route 333, to just south of Longards road, and includes Whynachts Point and Sheeps Head Island. Bayswater, Nova Scotia
Bayswater is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in the Chester Municipal District on the Aspotogan Peninsula in Lunenburg County on the Lighthouse Route (Nova Scotia Route 329). Black Point, Halifax
Black Point (2021 population: 486) is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Black Point is the closest community in the Ten Beaches area to Metropolitan Halifax, just 30 minutes away, on Highway 3. Black Point is believed to have been given its name because its land mass appear black from outside of St. Margaret's Bay. Original land grants were given in 1786, but it was not until the 19th century that the community began to take shape. Black's Point first post office opened in 1867. A new school opened in 1879.
