Sri Lanka Women's National Football Team
The Sri Lanka women's national football team is the female representative football team for Sri Lanka. As of 2014 the national team has never entered qualifying for the FIFA Women's World Cup nor the AFC Women's Asian Cup. The team has played in all three editions of the South Asian SAFF Women's Championship, where it reached the semi-finals in 2012 and 2014. History Sri Lanka women's national football team played their first game in 2010 against India which they lost 8–1. Sri Lanka women's national football team had never played in FIFA Women's World Cup or Women's Asia Cup and did not enter the qualifications as of 2014. They have played in the SAFF Women's Championship and in the South Asian Games. Due to their lack of experience they didn't show any great performance in the regional level of football. The India women's national football team is controlled by the All India Football Federation and represents India at women's international football competitions. Under the global jurisdiction of FIFA and governed in Asia by the AFC. India is also part of the South Asian Football Federation. The team was one of the best in Asia in the mid-1970s to early 1980s, when they became runners-up in the 1979 and the 1983 AFC Women's Asian Cup. The Indian women's national team is yet to participate in the FIFA Women's World Cup and the Olympic Games. Hetto (died 847) was the Archbishop of Trier from 814 until his death. In this capacity he was both a political and ecclesiastical leader. In 829 Hetto was among a number of bishops who participated in the Synod of Mainz to hear the case of Gottschalk of Orbais, monk of the monastery of Fulda, against Rabanus Maurus, his abbot. Gottschalk's father had placed him at the abbey as a child oblate along with a gift of land. 2016 South Asian Games
The 2016 South Asian Games, officially the XII South Asian Games, is a major multi-sport event which took place from 5 February to 16 February 2016 in Guwahati and Shillong, India. A total of 2,672 athletes competed in 226 events over 22 sports. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 2016 South Asian Games in Guwahati on 5 February 2016. India continued its dominance in the game's medal tally with a staggering 308 medals including 188 gold medals. Host selection The games were originally scheduled to be held in 2012 in Kathmandu, but were postponed to Delhi for 2013 but again, were postponed to late 2015 because of the suspension of the Indian Olympic Association. Myanmar women's national football team is a female association football team representing Myanmar and controlled by Myanmar Football Federation (MFF). History Myanmar played the first game in 1995, against the Philippines, which Myanmar drew 1–1 in the 1995 Southeast Asian Games. Since then, Myanmar, like North Korea, has received more money from the state and improved its game. In 2005, the country was one of seven teams that included Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, East Timor, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Burma and Singapore, that were expected to field a women's football team to compete at the Asian Games in Marikina in December. Myanmar first took part in the 2003 AFC Women's Championship held in Thailand, and has since qualified five times, but Myanmar has neither progressed beyond the group stage in the tournament.
