Sports chiropractic is a specialty of chiropractic. Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially of the spine. Life University
Life University is a private university focused on training chiropractors and located in Marietta, Georgia, USA. It was established in 1974 by a chiropractor, Sid E. Williams. History The university was founded in 1974 by Williams as "Life Chiropractic College" on the site of a placer gold mine, next to Southern Technical Institute (later Southern Polytechnic State University and now Kennesaw State University - Marietta Campus). 22 students attended the first classes in January 1975. George Joseph Goodheart, Jr., D.C. (August 18, 1918 – March 5, 2008) was a chiropractor who invented Thought Field Therapy and applied kinesiology.. Career Goodheart attended the University of Detroit and the National College of Chiropractic. After graduating in 1939, he practiced in downtown Detroit with his father, George Goodheart, Sr., for over 30 years. He moved to an office in Grosse Pointe, where he made observations about muscle function and health and introduced Applied Kinesiology. Goodheart served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, and was stationed in France and England.
