Sporting Pizarro
Sporting Pizarro is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Tumbes, Peru. History Sporting Pizarro is a traditional team of Tumbes. In the 2001 Copa Perú and 2003 Copa Perú, the team was eliminated by Atlético Grau of Piura in the Regional Stage. In the 2005 Copa Perú, Sporting Pizarro was eliminated by Boca Juniors of Ferreñafe in the Regional Stage. In the 2007 Copa Perú, the club classified to the National Stage but was eliminated by Sport Vallejo of Trujillo in the quarterfinals. Sporting Pizarro won the 2010 Liga Superior de Tumbes, when defeated Deportivo Pacífico of Zarumilla. In the 2011 Torneo Intermedio, the club was eliminated by Sport Huancayo in the Round of 16. Tumbes, Peru
Tumbes is a city in northwestern Peru, on the banks of the Tumbes River. It is the capital of the Tumbes Region, as well as of Tumbes Province and Tumbes District. Located near the border with Ecuador, Tumbes has 111,595 inhabitants as of 2015. It is served by the Cap. FAP Pedro Canga Rodriguez Airport. It is located on the Gulf of Guayaquil along with Zorritos. Ligas Superiores Del Peru
The Ligas Superiores was one of two leagues that formed part of the Departamental Stage in the Copa Perú of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) football league system. The other league at level was the Ligas Departamentales. A transcendental step was given in the Copa Perú with the official establishment of the Ligas Superiores which did not become as successful as expected. Format The Ligas Superiores were composed of a select group of clubs of each department. The champion and runner-up from each league automatically qualifies to their department's Liga Departamental. History The Ligas Superiores were officially created in 2009. In 2009, nine the Departmental Federations determined to adopt them: Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Huánuco, Lambayeque, Pasco, Piura, Puno and Tumbes. 2012 Copa Perú
The 2012 Copa Perú season ( es, Copa Perú 2012), the promotion tournament of Peruvian football, started on February. The tournament has 5 stages. The first four stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, except for third stage in region IV, which is played as a knockout stage. The final stage features two knockout rounds and a final four-team group stage to determine the two promoted teams. The 2012 Peru Cup started with the District Stage ( es, Etapa Distrital) on February. The next stage was the Provincial Stage ( es, Etapa Provincial) which started on June. Club Sport Huancayo is a Peruvian Association football, football club based in Huancayo, Junín. The club play in the Peruvian Primera División since 2009, having gained promotion after winning the 2008 Copa Perú. The 2011 Torneo Intermedio (known as the Copa Movistar for sponsorship reasons) was played between June and July while the Peru national football team prepared for and competed in the 2011 Copa América. Zarumilla
Zarumilla is a city in the Tumbes Region, in northwestern Peru. It has a population of 54,625 as of 2019, and is the capital of the Zarumilla Province. It is also the main settlement in the Zarumilla District. It is located only a few kilometers away from the border town of Aguas Verdes, which is connected to Ecuador by a bridge. The city's surroundings were the location of the Battle of Zarumilla, eponymous battle that took place from July 23 to 31 during the 1941 Ecuadorian–Peruvian War.
