Splošno slovensko žensko društvo was a Slovenian organisation for women's rights, founded in 1901 and discontinued in 1945.Splošno žensko društvo 1901-1945, od dobrih deklet do feministk (COBISS), str. 74–78, 422. It was the first women's rights organisation in Slovenia. It was founded by and Josipine Widmar. Its purpose was to work for women's access to higher education and professional work, but also for women's suffrage. A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent). The plural ''women'' is sometimes used in certain phrases such as "women's rights" to denote female humans regardless of age. Typically, women inherit a pair of X chromosomes, one from each parent, and are capable of pregnancy and giving birth from puberty until menopause. More generally, sex differentiation of the female fetus is governed by the lack of a present, or functioning, SRY-gene on either one of the respective sex chromosomes. Voter Rights And Suffrage Organizations
Voting is a method by which a group, such as a meeting or an electorate, can engage for the purpose of making a collective decision or expressing an opinion usually following discussions, debates or election campaigns. Democracies elect holders of high office by voting.
