He is a contemporary member of the underground indie rock and indie folk m ... released in support of the 2009 Big Scary Monsters Christmas Tour. At each date on the tour, an exclusive CD single was sold, limited to 25 copies, hand-numbered and signed by Devine. Each date's CD had its own exclusive B-side. On December 12, 2009, the title track was offered as a free MP3 download on the record label's website. On December 17, 2009, the single was made available as a limited digital download with all nine B-sides, only available until December 31, 2009. Both the CDs and MP3 downloads are now unavailable. Kevin Devine (born December 19, 1979) is an American songwriter and musician from Staten Island, New York City, who is known for his introspective and political themes. He is a contemporary member of the underground indie rock and indie folk musical scenes, and his influences range from older indie artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliott Smith and Pavement to more mainstream and well known acts such as Nirvana and Bob Dylan. In 2013, Kevin Devine rejoined his previous band, Miracle of 86, for a series of reunion shows. 2007 Tour EP
''2007 Tour EP'' is a tour EP by Kevin Devine released during his 2007 U.S. tour opening for the bands Brand New and Manchester Orchestra. The EP contains mostly covers, along with a new version of "Wolf's Mouth" (originally from ''Make The Clocks Move'') and an acoustic version of "You'll Only End Up Joining Them" (originally from ''Put Your Ghost to Rest''). The EP contains songs played during that tour. Three tracks ("Harvest Moon," "Holland, 1945," and "Wolf's Mouth") were included as bonus tracks on the vinyl release of ''Put Your Ghost to Rest''. All the tracks from this EP later served as b-sides to the 2009 Splitting Up Christmas UK single. Steven Paul Smith (August 6, 1969 – October 21, 2003), known professionally as Elliott Smith, was an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Smith was born in Omaha, Nebraska, raised primarily in Texas, and lived much of his life in Portland, Oregon, where he gained popularity. "Holland, 1945" is a song by American indie rock group Neutral Milk Hotel. It was released as the only single from the band's second and final studio album ''In the Aeroplane Over the Sea'' in October 1998. "Holland, 1945" is one of the album's louder, more upbeat songs, featuring overdriven and distorted guitars. David Bazan
David Bazan (; born January 22, 1976) is an American indie rock singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona who now resides in Seattle, Washington. Bazan is the lead singer and creative force behind the band Pedro the Lion and was the lead singer of Headphones. In early 2006, he began performing and recording under his own name. ''Harvest Moon'' is the 19th studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young, released on November 2, 1992. Many of its backing musicians also appeared on Young's 1972 album ''Harvest''. Recordings Recovering from a case of tinnitus that had come about after the recording of ''Ragged Glory'' (1990) and its subsequent tour (which produced the 1991 albums '' Weld'' and '' Arc''), Young returned to the studio with Ben Keith, picking up the acoustic guitar, piano and banjo that had dominated albums such as ''Harvest'', ''Comes a Time'' and ''Old Ways''. 1970s-era analogue equipment was used instead of digital recording to achieve a "warmer" feel, though the album was in fact recorded on Sony PCM 16/44.1kHz digital. ''Make the Clocks Move'' is Kevin Devine's second studio album. It was released in 2003, making it the first of two albums released on Triple Crown Records. The German record label, Defiance Records, released a double LP set which bundled the album with Kevin's following album, ''Split the Country, Split the Street''. After it had been out of print for a period of time, the album was re-issued by Triple Crown Records on October 12, 2010. The re-issue features new artwork, Kevin's own extensive liner notes and an introductory note by Brand New vocalist Jesse Lacey. The re-issue was also released on vinyl and features two previously unreleased demo tracks from the album's sessions: "''Funerals and Carnivals''" and "''You Knock Me Out''". Johnette Napolitano (born Jonette L. Napolitano; September 22, 1957) is an American singer, songwriter and bassist best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and bassist for the alternative rock group Concrete Blonde. "Joey" is the ninth track from American alternative rock band Concrete Blonde's third studio album, ''Bloodletting'' (1990). The song was released in 1990 and was written and sung by the band's frontwoman, Johnette Napolitano. The song was written in a cab on the way to a photo studio in Philadelphia; it was the last vocal recorded on the album due to Napolitano's reluctance to record the lyrics, which were hard for her to deal with.
